ASIS Kenya Chapter 269
ASIS Kenya Chapter 269, was registered under the Societies Act, Chapter 108 Laws of Kenya in 2019 and is made up of ASIS International members who offer protection and loss prevention services for safe work environments in various fields of the economy, the region and elsewhere.
Chapter events and activities are coordinated by a leadership team of elected officials who are led by a Chapter chairman.
Some of the activities that are currently being pursued include onboarding new members who are entering the professional risk management sector from their practices either in government or private practice, ASIS certification programs, Webinars, publication of the Chapter newsletter and website, guest speaker interactive talk shows and notifying members of upcoming events on the regional and international arena.
ASIS Kenya Chapter - Officials
Tobias See has been in the security profession in the region for the last 27 years. Based in Nairobi Kenya, he is currently the Managing Director RILEY FALCON SECURITY SERVICES LTD, one of the largest and well established security companies in the region.
Prior to the present position, Tobias served in various senior positions. He is currently serving in the board of RILEY COURIER and FAST LAND DEVELOPMENT LTD. Tobias also served as the chairman board of management NYANZA CLUB and captain NYANZA GOLF CLUB
Tobias holds a Masters in Business Administration (Strategic Management) and Bachelor of Arts Sociology of Maseno and Kenyatta University respectively. He is triple certified (CPP, PCI, PSP)
Brigadier General (Rtd) Ahamed Mohammed has served in a variety of command and staff positionsin his 37 year career in the Kenya Defence Forces. He has also served in a number of high profile international assignments. His is an analyst, expert and consultant on national security, security management, conflict management and international issues. Brig Mohammed is the immediate former Chairman of ASIS Kenya Chapter and is currently the Assistant Regional Vice President for Eastern Africa (ARVP).
He is ASIS Triple Certified with CPP, PCI and PSP and a trainer on all. He is a graduate of Kings College, University of London with a Master of Arts degree in Defence Studies. He is also a graduate of the University of Nairobi with an MA degree in International Studies. He is a Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management and his awards and decorations include the Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS).
He is a passionate golfer and his interests include research on leadership, management and motivation (inspiration). He is now keen on asset protection.
Tom Kipyegon, CPP® PCI® PSP® is a seasoned board certified protection professional with over 20 years experience in corporate safety & security within East Africa in the areas of Hospitality, Global logistics, Aviation, Government. Extensive experience in corporate Safety & Security management, Business Continuity Planning, Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM), CPTED and Governance. 2020 OSPA finalist in the category of best in-house security management.
Currently he heads Safety & Security at Kenya Nut Company Ltd- A multinational player in Manufacturing & Agricultural sectors operating in East Africa.
Hadija Jama is the director of Darubini Screening International Company Limited. She has more than 35 years of experience in Human Resource Management, formerly at CFC-Stanbic, Trade Bank and Citi Bank and member of ASIS, having attended the 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Conferences in Los Angeles, Dallas, Las Vegas and Chicago respectively.

Simon Karuki has been in the security profession in the East African region for the last 10 years. Based in Nairobi Kenya, he is currently the Head of Group Security and Investigations at I&M Bank. Prior to joining I&M Simon worked at Ecobank as the Regional Head of Corporate Securityand Investigation Services where he oversaw Security and Investigation management in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania,Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan and Ethiopia Simon has also worked at ABC Bank as Head of Security and Equity Bank as a Security Officer
Simon holds a Master of Science Degree in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester. He is triple certified (CPP, PCI, PSP) and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Prior to his election as the Chapter Secretary, Simon was the chapter Certification Chairperson.
Mr. Anthony Maina Mithanga is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Biometrics Technology Limited (BTL), a leading regional security Systems Integrator. He has 27years of Multidisciplinary executive management experience in both Public and Private sector.
A seasoned Security technology expert, Mr. Maina has overseen design and installations of large scale commercial and industrial electrical, electronic and Integrated Security systems. He is also a founder and served as Managing Consultant of Spasys Limited, where during his reign he provided advisory and project management services to over 50 Financial institutions spread globally.
Previously he worked for Kenya Railways Corporation, Britam, Pride Africa and Pride Management Services.

Mr. Sam Koskei is a certified Physical Security Professional, (PSP), Certified Protection Professional, (CPP), and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) with over twenty years’ experience as a professional security consultant. Currently, he is the head of Corporate Security at The Standard Group PLC, having joined the company in May 2015 after several years of diligent service at the Nation Media Group.
He joined ASIS International, originally called the American Society for Industrial Security (a premier professional organization for security professionals), in 1998. At the time, the Kenya Chapter had very few members.
Collins Ayodo, BSc, CPP, PCI, PSP, CFE has been in the security profession for the Last 10 years as a law enforcement officer with the National Police Service.
Collins holds Bachelors of Science degree in Criminology and Security Management from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology. He is board certified in security management having demonstrated competence and expertise. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
